7-inch Kindle Fire HDX down to £169 in the UK

£30 discount on all 7-inch, Wifi-only HDX models until January 2

Amazon UK has announced that it's lowering the price of all 7-inch Kindle Fire HDX Wifi models by £30 until the new year. The promotion runs until Jan. 2 and sees the cheapest 16GB varaint "with special offers" — i.e. lock screen ads — coming down to £169. As always, buyers can configure their devices with up to 64GB of storage, ads or no ads, and Wifi-only or Wifi + 4G LTE.

Amazon's latest small form factor tablet features a 7-inch 1920x1200 display, a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB of RAM, with Android-based software build around Amazon's content ecosystem. Here's what our own Jerry Hildenbrand had to say about the HDX in his recent review —
